The Thoroughbred Center

Modeled after the magnificent complex in Kentucky, the Ocala Thoroughbred Center is a magnificent training and boarding facility for everyone who has no desire to get mixed up in the big four competition. With capacity for well over a thousand horses, it's a place for small breeders to make their start. They have several miles of trails, hundreds of employees, exercise riders, and a full sized dirt track and turf track, as well as a smaller track for gate schooling and yearling workouts.

Cardinal Hill

One of the oldest and biggest stables in the area, Cardinal Hill is known as one of the top performing thoroughbred stables in Ocala and well respected. Owned by the young Mr. Williams, you will only find the best here from the staff and trainers to the horses themselves.

Heritage Hall

Located on pristine grounds that rival the grandness of Cardinal Hill, Heritage Hall has that touch of old world grandness that's awe inspiring. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Clarkson, from the UK of course, Heritage Hall has quickly become the chief rival of Mr. Williams and Cardinal Hill. This is a stable that knows the game and doesn't bat an eye lash at paying for the best.

Blackwood Farm

Blackwood is the oldest stable in the vicinity, but has always maintained a small operation. This doesn't mean that they sacrifice on quality. This is an operation that works magic with the means that they have and has recently hit a bit of luck. People are finally starting to notice this long established barn, but it remains to be seen if they can handled the influx of added press and attention.

Stonebridge Farm

The new kid on the block and owned by a new family, Stonebridge is a fresh face to the tracks, but is certainly making a splash. They by no means can compete with the mass and volume of the other stables, but what they lack in numbers they more than makeup with it in quality.

Heritage-Cardinal Trails

The infamous set of trail loops set between Cardinal Hill and Heritage Hall. There are loops from half a mile to five miles long, equipped with streams, hills, and the occasional jump or two. It's open for anyone wanting to work a horse, just be careful who you run across...it could get ugly.

This is where some of the magic happens. A pristine location with the finest Grade A dirt and perfectly maintained turf, it is one of the up-and-coming tracks of the nation. There are on-site stables, for any temporary stays as competition preps for the races, as well as the Silk Poker Room in the club area upstairs. What more could you ask for? A club, horses and high stakes gambling - plenty for someone to get into trouble with at some point or another...

This place always seems to hopping on the weekends, unlike most other fair grounds there always seems to be some kind of event happening and that's mainly in thanks to the small racetrack they have. It isn't uncommon to see the local jockeys having secret mounts entered in races, always trying to get an edge for race day, but there's always the risk of getting caught. The night races here could cause a riot...
